Full Container Loads (FCL)
An FCL contains a shipment in a single container for one consignee. Benefits of an FCL shipment include:

Less than Container Load (LCL)
An LCL shipment refers to any cargo which is less than a full container load and typically forms a part of a consolidated container with other importers. As different cargo is grouped into one container, LCL shipments are recommended for customers with smaller import or export volumes. Benefits of an LCL shipment include:
- An affordable alternative option for smaller orders as customers are only charged on the weight and volume of space required
- Ability to create a regular shipping schedule as Santova arranges weekly shipments to/from multiple destinations
Groupages and Consolidations
Santova has a dedicated Groupage department which allows cargo from multiple suppliers intended for multiple consignees to be grouped at origin, and then ‘de-grouped’ to be cleared and delivered at destination. This ensures cost-savings and convenience for customers.
Consolidations refers to shipments where one consignee imports cargo from multiple suppliers in a similar location, intended for the same destination. Santova is able to combine cargo into one full container load at origin, which results in significantly reduced shipping costs due to increased volume.
Cross Trade Services
Through communication with our global offices and strategic logistics partners, we work to facilitate cross trade freight services. This enables a shipment to move between two countries without having to pass through your country of residence. The result is lower freight costs, elimination of extra handling costs and an optimised logistics process and therefore quicker transit times.
